Navigating a Fragmented Transition: Implications for Investors
The Doris Duke Foundation Treehouse at Lazard will explore how a fragmented transition is reshaping the investment landscape. Through new investor research, perspectives from asset owners and consultants, and analysis from Lazard’s investment and energy professionals, the discussion will examine the evolving interplay among policy, energy security, technology, power demand and investment economics.
As the energy transition evolves unevenly across markets, sectors and regions, investors are navigating a more complex landscape shaped by policy divergence, energy-security priorities, technological change and shifting economics. This New York Climate Week discussion will bring together investment professionals and industry leaders to examine the practical implications of these dynamics for institutional investors.
Please find details about the afternoon's sessions below, and use the form on this page to RSVP no later than September 10th.

This session will share lessons from five years of implementation on how collaborations like these can unlock new approaches to working forest management and deliver environmental, social, and economic benefits at scale. Panelists will share practical, on-the-ground approaches to improved and climate-informed forest management, and explore the growing opportunities to amplify impact across working forest landscapes in the U.S.
Rather than focusing on a specific fund or investment product, the conversation will examine what has worked in practice, the tradeoffs involved, and how these approaches can be replicated or scaled by other institutional landowners and investors.
